New Year New GRANTS

Before you start planning world domination, first let's talk about how you are going to pay for it. Although I am a huge advocate for applying for grants, I do not believe that you should solely rely on grants to fund your business.

Last year, I personally won over a million dollars in grants for our businesses. However, that did not stop me from going after government contracts, fee for services rendered, and event sponsorships.

It is important to be well-rounded and have multiple sources of revenue coming into your business if you want to see 15 years in business like I have.

Without further ado, I want to give you the grants for the month of January that you can apply for NOW!

*(I will be adding grants throughout the first week of January, so check back often.)

  1. The Roddenberry Foundation - Catalyst Fund - this grant is open for individuals, for-profit social enterprises, and nonprofits. The Catalyst Fund makes grants between $2,500–$15,000 to anyone, anywhere in the world who has an early-stage idea or project that addresses pressing global challenges.

  2. The Babcock Foundation - The Babcock Foundation invites proposals from local, statewide, regional and national nonprofits serving the South that have track records of helping people and places move out of poverty and achieve greater social and economic justice.

  3. The Second Service Foundation - For veteran-owned businesses. Tell them about your business and social impact on the military community.
